About The Sports Donkey
the sports donkey is an avid sports fan, a sports fiend if you will - who spent most of his life in the northern virginia area, just south of the nation’s capital - known as JB by most of his peers, he currently lives in north cackalacky. he has a good christian heart in his body, and through faith and hope he is blessed with god’s favor.
the donkey loves his teams, primarily D.C. and Cleveland based teams, with JMU, VT, and Ohio State thrown into the college mix based on his alma mater, the alma mater of his twin donkey and good friends, and his upbringing, respectively. but more importantly he loves the sports that host these teams - the sports that keep us intense and excited when we flip on the tube, and the ones that excite us enough to wake up at 8 am to tailgate. with out sport, most of us men probably wouldn’t have anything to talk about and would be relegated to more window licking in the corner.
everyone’s got an opinion, and my opinions are expressly written amidst these pages. god bless the first amendment conglomerating with the internet. because these have learned to coexist, donkeys such as myself can post as many useless thoughts as possible across such a vast network. i enjoy taking a loving look at teams and what’s going on in the world of sports. however, it’s common in the media to create vanilla opinions then deliver those to us so we can nod our heads. we’re on earth to do our own thinking after collecting information. this blog is intended to analyze issues for pure enjoyment, but to take a fresher or creative look when using our brain matter (especially when the media attempts to be overly PC).
i respect the hell out of any professional athlete or coach - or any athlete or coach that even gets mentioned in the media for that matter. because although i’d like to think i enjoyed some success playing sports in my day, it certainly wouldn’t snag any national attention….nor local attention. but just because i was never as good as the people i’ll write about, that doesn’t mean we can’t make fun of them!
feel free to comment on blogs - but the one rule is to respect others who leave comments or posts on this site. there’s no room for hateful or disparaging remarks towards one another. we can create as much fun as we’d like, but it’s intended for the light of heart, willing to joke about anything and poke fun with out taking things too seriously. if that is too hard for you (that’s what she said!) to understand then don’t leave a comment.
enjoy donkeys!
